Amsterdam University survey 1894-5: A long, narrow sandy strip, the S part covered by village of Ez. el-Sayed Gad and its cemetery. GR ? cemetery on the NE end, split in two and being eradicated by bulldozers (1984-5). Graves consist of rectangular mud-brick chambers in rows, aligned E-W or N-S. Maybe the cemetery of the settlement of Tell el-Maghud [no. 353]. SCA report of 1983 mentions finding of pair of limestone jambs of Ramesses II and block of Siamun in nearby fields. Late Roman sherds noted.
