| Two adjacent
mounds in reclaimed land. Visited by J and P Spencer in 1997. Visible traces
of buried brick walls, surface Roman sherds and red bricks. Probably once
part of nearby T. Ibwan (Delta Survey 547), a short distance to the west.

is also visible.
Access to the site (best) by new road along S side of El-Salam canal from Damietta, then off to the right down a steep dirt-track to a dirt road which leads directly to the site. |
