(DAOUD) MOWRAD, T [688]
Visited by J and P Spencer in April 2007: This very small mound, of about 80m diameter is now called Tell el-Hagar by the local inhabitants, seems never to have been of any great extent. It lies in the fields on the south side of a dirt track from the east edge of Kafr Atrash and is covered with straw and miscellaneous products of agricultural activity, so little of the surface can be seen and a few fired bricks were the only items noted. The straw seem to have been burned off at intervals, leaving a thick deposit of ash which had become compacted by rain.
