Amsterdam University
survey in 1984 found the site to be clear of modern structures, occupying
an area of 140 x 130m with an elevation of 2.5m, in the middle of cultivation.
Founded on a gezira. Remains of a Late-Roman mud brick building standing
1.8m high were noted in 1984. Sections drawn by Amsterdam expedition. Romano-Coptic
sherds noted.
