Amsterdam University survey 1984-5. Site founded on a gezira and formerly known as Tell Taradiya. Tested by Abdel Haqq and Magdi Saad Salib, SCA Inspectors, in 1980-1 then given over for agriculture. Tests revealed brick walls, pottery, flints, stone weights and '44 objects of the daily life', dating from the 2IP to the LP. Now partly levelled to fields. Grinding stones and several limestone slabs noted on the surface in 1984-5. Sherds of MK, 2IP, NK and Saite Period collected.
