buildings on surface, in mud brick, and some fired-bricks scattered around.
Limestone fragments among surface debris, and a granite millstone, cut
from a column. Sebakh extracted and sherds thrown back into hollows.
DAI test in 1983 found only Ptolemaic and Roman material, see MDAIK 40, 323f. The site is founded on silt. |
