Tell el-Maghud

Archaeological site, east part covered by village of Ez. Ali Suliman el-Maghud. Former name Tell Farasha. Some of the west half has been levelled to agriculture, creating a water-filled depression. SCA excavations around this in 1971 and 1974 revealed part of a cemetery of the Second Intermediate Period, with 11 tombs containing contracted burials, orientated ENE-WSW.
