Tell Mara

Archaeological site standing as an isolated mound in the cultivated land. It has an elevated core and lower edges, particularly to the south and west. On the top at the north end are distinct lines of ancient buildings in a grid pattern. A few Old Kingdom pottery fragments are reported as having been seen at the site.
