Tell Abu Kharufa

Archaeological site, also known as Tell Zuwelen. Once much larger, the remains of the site have been cut into separate mounds scattered across the cultivated land. This mound is distinct from the other Tell Zuwelen (EES Delta Survey no. 324), situated north of Gumaiyemi. Late Period, Ptolemaic and Roman sherds noted.
