Kom Radwan

Archaeological site once consisting of a very large mound but now cut by agriculture with some areas levelled to fields. A part at the south west is overbuilt by a village and the remaining east part of the mound is covered by a modern cemetery. A canal has been cut through the southern part of the site. The pattern of field-boundaries in the image shows well the former limits of the site. It may have been a twin mound with the site at Birkhet Kheir, just 700m to the north. Egypt Exploration Society Delta Survey no. 421.
